The Conservative Muslim Forum was founded by Lord Sheikh in 2005 when the Conservative Party recognised that it needed to do more to appeal to Muslim voters. All of its members are full members of the Conservative Party. The CMF also has a number of supporters who are invited to its events and who receive its communications but who either cannot join the Party (for example some employments prohibit membership of a political party) or who are not yet ready to join.
Only members of the CMF are able to vote in internal CMF elections or to become members of the CMF Executive. We have a constitution which is available at this link.
