Visit to Amaravati Buddhist Monastery, Hemel Hempstead

The Conservative Muslim Forum has always strongly supported bringing different faiths together. In February CMF President Lord Sheikh hosted an event to mark World Interfaith Harmony Week. As you will see from our website page about the event, one of the speakers at the event was the Venerable Ajahn Amaro, Head of the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery, Hemel Hempstead.

He has invited the CMF to visit his monastery in Hemel Hempstead on the morning of Saturday 1 July. For many of us, this may be their first visit to a Buddhist monastery.

CMF visit to the European Parliament

The CMF has organised two previous visits to the European Parliament, in 2013 and in 2015. We are now organising what will presumably be our final such trip due to Brexit.

With the support of Dr Syed Kamall MEP, the CMF is organising a delegation of our members and supporters to visit the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium 10th - 11th October 2017. The delegation will travel to Brussels by Eurostar on Tuesday 10th October 2017 in the morning and return back to London the following day, on Wednesday evening.

The cost of taking part in the delegation will be £200.00 each (the price includes Eurostar to Brussels, 2 days travel card and accommodation with breakfast). The cost is based on 2 people sharing a twin room or £250.00 if anyone wants a room for one person.

Anyone who is accepted to participate on the official delegation will receive a cash subsidy of €165.00 Euros at the European Parliament on Tuesday 10th October 2017. Places on the official delegation are limited.

If you would like further information please kindly click this link as soon as possible to compose an email response which requests the following information:
